Instructor / Speaker

Abigail Jones is Senior Vice President, Head of Legal Asia Pacific at State Street, responsible for running the APAC regional legal function across State Street’s asset servicing, asset management and markets businesses, including its Hong Kong trustee and custodian businesses. Ms. Jones has extensive experience in funds management, trusts, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and competition law. She holds a combined degree in Arts Law from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Law and Management from the University of New South Wales, and has practised in Australia, Ireland and Hong Kong. She is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, and is a member of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel Hong Kong.
Jillian Savage is Head of Legal for State Street Bank & Trust Company's Global Services business, for North Asia (ex-Japan), responsible for the legal work required to support its trustee, custodian and administrative services to Hong Kong unit trusts and local servicing of its Cayman Islands unit trust business. Ms. Savage holds degrees in Political Science and Law from the Australian National University, a Masters in American Politics and Jurisprudence from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in Law from Columbia University in New York. She is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia and the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands. Ms. Savage has practised in Australia, the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong, specializing in trusts, funds management, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets, and has taught at the Australian National University Law School, the University of Canberra School of Law and the Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
