Update on OTC Derivatives Reporting Requirements

Overview

The G20 Leaders agreed that all OTC derivatives contracts should be reported to trade repositories as part of their commitment to reform OTC derivatives market in order to improve transparency, mitigate systemic risk and protect against market abuse.

This seminar aims to facilitate participants’ understanding of how OTC derivatives reporting requirements have been implemented in Hong Kong and what enhancements are expected in the future.

Instructor / Speaker

Daphne DOO

Daphne Doo is a Senior Director of the Supervision of Markets Division at the Securities and Futures Commission. She is responsible for the implementation of the OTC derivatives regulatory regime in Hong Kong. Before joining the Commission, Ms Doo worked in the investment banking industry in Hong Kong and London, and as an auditor in London.

Ms Doo graduated from University College London, University of London. She is a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales, a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
