Business Conduct & Ethical Standards

AI Ethics - Part 3

Overview

This eCourse consists of two modules on AI Ethics. Module 1 examines the key ethical risks and challenges posed by GenAI, including issues such as misinformation/disinformation, harmful misuse, intellectual property, bias and discrimination, and the impact on jobs and skills development. While the use of AI has raised ethical concerns for decades, the emergence of GenAI into the public domain and the widespread adoption of various GenAI tools in more recent times has introduced further ethical concerns and risks into the mix. GenAI is transforming society in several ways, bringing both opportunities and risks.

Module 2 covers cases where AI has failed, leading to ethical, operational, reputational, and financial consequences. These failures offer important lessons for the organizations involved as well as governments, regulators, AI developers, and ethicists. This module describes some of these cases in detail and the key takeaways from them.
