This eSeminar is a recorded session of the "From Digital Currency to Legal Tender: The Role of Regulated Stablecoins in Driving Real-World Payments" webinar held on 25 November 2025.

Mr Benjamin Quinlan and Mr Justin Chung from Quinlan & Associates share how regulated stablecoins are reshaping the future of payments. They uncover the distinctions between central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins, and tokenised deposits. Key topics include the key adoption challenges in real-world payments, and how emerging regulatory frameworks are shaping the future of payments in both Web3 and traditional finance (TradFi) ecosystems.

Note: This course is an elective module in the Certification Programme for Virtual Asset Professionals (CVAP). Participants must complete TWO elective modules. Instructor / Speaker

Benjamin is the CEO and Managing Partner of Quinlan & Associates. He was the former Chairman of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong and is the current Chair of Innovation & Technology at AustCham.

Benjamin is also a Board / Senior Advisor to various startups, and is recognised as one of Asia’s leading FinTech influencers. He sits on various Advisory and Steering Committees for HKTDC, HKSTP, and HKGCC.

Prior to founding Quinlan & Associates, Benjamin was the Head of Strategy for Deutsche Bank’s Equities business in Asia Pacific and its Investment Bank in Greater China. He has also worked at Oliver Wyman, UBS, and PwC.
Justin is an Associate Partner of Quinlan & Associates, leading digital assets and Web3 practices. Before joining Quinlan & Associates, Justin specialised in data analytics and data management at a global financial institution, where he engaged in strategic initiatives and change management projects across Asia Pacific. He was also the Vice President for a fast-growing blockchain advisory start-up that was recognised by InvestHK, where he headed corporate structuring and business development.
