Zhihai DIAO

Mr Diao Zhihai is Head of International Business of Wealth Management and Managing Director of CICC; Mr Diao is also the MIC and RO for Asset Management at CICC Hong Kong Asset Management Ltd.

With over 18 years of experience in wealth management and private banking, Mr Diao has witnessed multiple market cycles, navigated shifting global trends, and helped shape CICC’s international wealth strategy.

In March 2008, Mr Diao joined CICC Wealth Management (Shenzhen), where he worked as an investment consultant and in marketing and business operations for seven years. In 2015, he became Vice President and Head of Sales and Operations at CMBI WM (China Merchants Bank International Capital Corporation Limited, Wealth Management Department). He rejoined CICC in October 2017 and was named Wealth Leader of the Year at Asian Private Banker’s 6th China Wealth Awards in 2023.

Mr Diao received a bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade from Shenzhen University in 2007.
